Prati Di Tivo
Prati di Tivo is a mountain resort on the slopes of Gran Sasso, in the Municipality of Pietracamela. The name seems to derive from the term reactionary grass meadows that late because of its location at high altitude (1450 m). It is situated 6 km from downtown and 40 kilometers from Teramo Pietracamela.
Plenty of accommodation facilities is the numerous hotels. A Prati di Tivo active ski slopes and lifts for: Seater chairlift "La Madonna" (2050 meters) Difficulty track: black gradient capacity 450 613 m Chairlift "Prati di Tivo" (1550 meters) Difficulty track: red / blue 100 m altitude range 2185 Chairlift "Prop middle" (1800 meters) Difficulty: Red altitude 310 m reach 1198 Double Skilift JOLLY (1440 meters) Difficulty: blue / 50 m altitude training camp capacity 720 The historic chairlift seat, "The Madonna", in service until summer 2008, has given way to a modern combined-seat gondola with intermediate station. This is the first facility of its kind made in Italy. All facilities are located at the foot of the northern slope of Corno Piccolo. There is also a cross-country ski resort in summer Prati di Tivo offers many possibilities for hiking and climbing with varying degrees of commitment: from simple walks in the woods difficult rock climbing. Through the Valley of the River Arno and field hazards can make a crossing and arrive at Campo Imperatore, and through the saddle-high summit which is reached by taking the road that still left the yard-you can get in the district of the town of Island Gran Sasso.
